Meet
the Team
Andy Tarpley: Andy was born and raised in Danville,
played for Danville Little League and San Ramon Valley High school.
He received a scholarship to play baseball for the University of
California Golden Bears where he started as a 3rd baseman and played
in the College World Series as a true freshman. Andy played professionally
for the Boston Red Sox and Cincinnati Reds. Andy served as the
Varsity Head Coach for Acalanes high school
Varsity Baseball team where he led the squad to two DFAL championships and the NCS Championship in 07. Andy is currently the hitting and 3rd base coach of the Diablo Valley College Vikings and a Coach with EJ Sports. Andy provides specialized hitting instruction.
Paul
Torres: Paul was born and raised in the East Bay. He played High School ball at St. Joseph Catholic High School. Paul then played professional baseball for 12 years for Major
League Organizations up to the AAA level as a 3rd & 1st baseman
with the Chicago Cubs, Seattle Mariners, St. Louis Cards, and L.A.
Dodgers. Paul has successfully coached many travel ball clubs nationally
and overseas. Paul provides specialized hitting and fielding instruction.
Jason
Kicherer: Jason was born and raised in Alamo, played for San
Ramon Little League, Monte Vista High School as a Shortstop, 3rd
baseman and Pitcher. Jason went on to play College baseball at Ohlone
College and Chico State University where he won a NCAA World Series
Championship in 1997. Jason is currently a Coach with the Danville
Hoots baseball club. Jason provides specialized hitting and middle
infielding instruction.
Lindsey Barnes: A former collegiate softball pitcher Lindsey Barnes has also competed well at the ASA 23&U level. Barnes believes that it is great to have velocity, but you must also have movement, and for that you must learn to spin the ball properly. "No matter how hard you throw, you will get hit unless you can make the ball move", she says. Mechanics are the key, Lindsey believes, which is a point of emphasis in each of her lessons.
Dr.
Greg Arnold: Greg played college baseball as a scholarship athlete
for Penn State University for four years. As a left hand pitcher
Greg enjoyed a great deal of success for the Nittany Lions. He went
on to begin a very successful career in pitching instruction and
has established a thriving medical practice; Complete Chiropractic
Health Care of Danville, CA. Greg is a Certified Instructor of the
National Pitching Association and the National Strength and Conditioning
Association. Greg provides specialized pitching instruction.
